Dear family and friends
Publishing this poem is a very private thing to do (the poem was not written by me, but I found it nailed to a tree exactly here), but I feel I have to in order to help me leave the past behind and step into the future.
Sitting down beside you,
I knew your life was through,
Although my heart was breaking,
There was nothing I could do.The lonely days without you,
Are the saddest I have known.
I treasure every thought of you,
When I am all alone.You have not really left me,
You are with me night and day.
The love we have between us,
Death can not take away.
